RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Program, setup and operate multiple CNC lathes
· Direct 1-2 operators in assigned lathe area
· Work with production manager on upcoming jobs
· Train new operators as required
· Follow required safety procedures
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· First shift position 6:30-3:00
· Overtime on weekends and before 6:30 available after initial training
Physical Requirements
· Occasionally crouch or kneel
· Stand for 3 hours
· Lift/push 50 lbs to waist level multiple time an hour
Job Requirements
· Use of FANUC controls and Manual Guide-i conversational programing
o Experience with older Cincinnati/Siemens Acramatic A2100 controls a plus
· Program first time run parts using Manual Guide-i or G-code with no base program
· Experience programing utilizing X and Y live axis
· Able to identify proper cutting tools based on part features and production processes
· Recognize best production practices for first run part programing
· Safely load parts in machines using overhead cranes
· Computer proficiency in use of barcode system to scan in/out of jobs and issue gages
· Read and interpret manufacturing prints, process sheets and other technical data
· Fill out new part process sheets as required
· Communicate rout change requests to manufacturing engineering
· Able to identify cutting tool and load them into turret or magazine
· Convert between inches and millimeter as required
· Add, subtract, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
· Understanding of GD&T tolerances and symbols
· Check parts using appropriate gages
o Bore
o OD Mic
o Groove
o Thread
o Calipers
o Go/No Go Gages
· Record measured data for quality documentation
· Daily machine maintenance
· Pass forklift safety and operation certification
· Experience working safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
· Ability to work as part of a team to solve quickly solve setbacks
